Timetable

WordCamp Kansai 2015 will be a two-day event filled with fun talks, lectures, hands-on, hackathon and other activities.

In last year’s WordCamp Kansai, Contributor Day was introduced for the first time. This year, there will be a “Contribution Studio” which attendees can visit anytime during the two days and also a “Sponsors and Unconference Hall” in which various events are planned.

At the end of the first day, July 25th, there will be a simple social gathering at the 1st floor of the hall. It’s free and no registration is needed.
*This timetable is currently being adjusted. The contents may change without prior notice. We suggest you visit this page every now and then until all schedules are finalized. Thank you.

Contribution

Why not get more involved in WordPress?
WordPress is an open source CMS. We not only use it, but we also get involved and continue to take part.
Even if you’re not a developer, you can still contribute to WordPress in many ways like translations and answering forums.

From the side that receive to the side that provide. We think both are very fun and enlightening experience.

Ways to Contribute

There are so many ways to contribute to WordPress!(Reference:WordPress Participation・Contribution). We’ll introduce some of these contributions below.

Support Forums Codex Translation Plugins & Themes Translation Making Plugins & Themes WordPress Core
Answering a question in the support forums or on IRC is one of the easiest ways to get started. Everyone knows the answer to something! Translating the original English version of Codex to your language helps the translator learn the deeper technical aspect of WordPress and will help other people learn more about it as well. You can translate plugins and themes to any language. Asking the author to create a language file, this will be included in the package.

For plugins and themes will be published to the official directory when they follow the coding standards.
Reviews will be made before having them published to ensure that plugins and themes are of high quality.

When it comes to writing a patch to the WordPress Core, not only development skills are necessary, but they are also a very rewarding contribution.
